We are European Escorted Tour Specialists
Albatross Australia was established in 1995 as the Australasian division of the global Albatross Travel Group. With offices in Australia, and the United Kingdom and we currently handle in excess of 7,000 groups per year. We are also a founding member of the EuroTravel Experts organisation.
Using our considerable group travel design skills we have also created a range of very different and innovative European scheduled escorted tour programmes. Tours which offer a genuinely more satisfying and fulfilling touring experience.
All our European tours are designed specifically with Australian and New Zealand travellers in mind. The pace is more leisurely with 2 to 5 night stops everywhere – even 7 night stops on some Christmas Tours – and you get much more genuine sightseeing time and less time wasted sitting on coaches. What is more we offer ‘guaranteed group departures’.
In contrast to mainstream European tour operators we have a strict policy that there are no nasty surprises, no later charged ‘hidden’ options lists and extras. All tours are genuinely inclusive and we even include end of tour tips to your European tour manager and driver!
Summer Tours
Our European Summer tours have a very different style with that Albatross ‘touch’. Group sizes are smaller – limited to 30 passengers – perfect for staying in wonderful hotels with style and character that larger coach groups cannot use.
Christmas and New Year Tours
We also have a range of festive Christmas Tours (limited to only 42 passengers) . Over 16 years ago we created our first European festive tour capturing the very essence and joy of a traditional European White Christmas. Now, we proudly offer a wonderful range of fourteen different European White Christmas and New Year tours. Each one still holding true to our simple policy that we offer Christmas ‘as it should be’. We always take particular care to include special events and activities in each European White Christmas and New Year itinerary that will bring alive the nostalgia, joy and romance of the Festive Season.

With over 11 years experience offering in depth ANZAC Western Front Commemorative tours our programmes have become incredibly successful and are the benchmark against which other operators aspire to.
Another essential element of our business is the design, creation and operation of specialty ‘custom made’ group tours to the United Kingdom, Europe and Turkey. We handle a huge number of ‘one off’ special interest group tours for clubs, sporting teams, music groups and schools on behalf of Australian and New Zealand travel agencies and tour wholesalers.
